Brown vaginal fluids in the middle of the cycle
When the vaginal fluid is light to dark brown, it means that it contains a little blood which, as it’s slowly coming out, has been oxidised and is no longer red. On the contrary, the blood that comes out immediately has a bright red colour. So it is perfectly reasonable to start and end the period with brown fluid, since at the beginning and end the blood is less and flows slowly. It is also normal for you to sometimes see brown fluid in your ovulation days. It is almost certainly due to the hormonal changes occurring at this stage, which result in ovulation and the loss of small amounts of blood from the uterine endometrium. However, the gynaecologist should try to rule out other serious causes. It is also necessary to be examined by your doctor if you continue to have brown vaginal fluid in non-period or non-ovulatory days.
